Just as Ben Tre is famous as Vietnam’s coconut capital, Binh Thuan is the “capital” of dragon fruit. Traveling through Binh Thuan, one can easily spot vast fields of off-season dragon fruit glowing beautifully at night. This enchanting sight not only attracts tourists but also provides a livelihood for local farmers. Binh Thuan, with its volcanic history and harsh, dry climate, is the perfect place to grow the finest dragon fruit in Vietnam. Naturally, dragon fruit only bears fruit during the rainy season. However, to produce off-season fruit, farmers use lights to warm the plants and provide the necessary light to stimulate flowering and fruiting. Binh Thuan dragon fruit is a blend of natural nutrients and the abundant energy from the tropical sun, offering a distinctively rich and sweet flavor. Binh Thuan not only produces a large quantity of dragon fruit but also offers a variety of types, including red flesh, golden, and white flesh dragon fruits.

With exceptional yield, area, and quality, the dragon fruit-growing regions in Binh Thuan associated with Mova Plus cover 40 hectares, producing 2,160 tons as of 2024. The supply capacity is growing at 50% annually. Recognizing the value of dragon fruit, Mova Plus has prepared to elevate Binh Thuan’s dragon fruit to meet international economic standards through Global GAP-certified agricultural practices. Mova Plus plans to build a factory by the end of 2024, fully equipped with export codes such as EU Code, FDA, and ISO 22,000.
